String skipping on the horizontal major scale

Aim of the exercise: Play the major scale on two strings that are at least one whole string apart.
Exercise type: String Skipping
Starting tempo: 40 beats per minute
Duration: 5 minutes

Skippin' a few strings

In this exercise you will be playing 3 notes per string on two different strings. The catch here is that there will always be at least one string between these two strings so you will have to do some string skipping.

Let us look only at the notes of the D and e string (1st and 4th). You'll need to jump two strings here.

Start by playing three notes on the D string, then play three notes on the E string, then go back to the D string and move up a note. Repeat this until you reach the octave mark! Here are the tabs:
